ETSI-med provides biological resources and related clinical information to industrial and academic researchers, on the basis of a MTA
(material transfer agreement). No intellectual property rights are linked to the samples. Research must be ethical
(e.g. respecting Helsinki convention, no cloning, etc.).
Samples are provided for free, since they are a gift of the patient for biomedical research. However, ETSI-med has to cover its own running costs, on a non-profit basis.
On request, ETSI-med is organizing customized, prospective biobanking projects including samples and data acquisition.
This can be helpful for biomolecular research accompanying phase II or phase III studies in oncology.
